2021 · How It Began
In April 2021, we met at an unlikely time during the pandemic while Tracy was visiting Taiwan. Our first date started at a café in Taipei, where a quick coffee turned into hours of conversation and multiple stops. When the country shut down soon after, Tracy returned to San Francisco. A few weeks later, John flew to the U.S. to see her again, leading to our first trip to Napa together.
2022 · Closing the Distance
After a year of flights and time zones, we decided to make life simpler. Tracy moved to Taipei, and John spent his weekends there. We found joy in morning coffees, city walks, and weekend escapes as we learned the pace of being together.
2023 · Life in Motion
2023 was a year of movement. We spent time traveling around Asia and making new memories before distance returned for a while when Tracy went back to the U.S. for work. During that time, John visited, and we spent a few days in Napa once again. The distance finally closed when Tracy moved back to Taiwan after starting a new remote role.
2024 · A New Chapter
As we settled into life together in Taichung, we made time to travel and explore new places, visiting Japan, Macau, Singapore, and Hong Kong. One trip stood out from the rest: September 5th in Singapore, where John proposed.
2025 · Building Our Life Together
This year began with a return to California in search of a wedding venue. In Napa, we fittingly found the place that felt right for us. Between work and travel, our days have been filled with simple things like perfecting our morning coffee, learning to golf, and finishing our new home.
2026 · Celebration
We're excited to return to Napa, where many of our favorite memories were made, and to gather with the people we love most!
